It's Never Too Late to Start Again

Thirty years in sales taught me how to begin again. I'm doing it one more time.

01 — Her Story

Where It Started

After high school, I wanted to study Interior Design. I didn't have the confidence. So I took a job in door-to-door sales instead.

No experience. No idea what I was walking into. It turned out to be the most important decision I ever made.

Knocking on strangers' doors and hearing no, over and over, taught me what no classroom could — how to read people, how to build confidence from nothing, and how to stop being afraid of rejection.

I never finished a degree. I never had a plan. What I had was a willingness to keep starting.

02 — Her Journey

A Career That Was Never a Straight Line

My career was never a straight line. Every detour turned out to be training.

Learning to Sell

Door-to-door · Shopping centres · Promoter · Executive · Manager

Building my own numbers was hard. Leading people was harder. The toughest lesson was managing male subordinates and earning their respect instead of demanding it.

02

The Hard Years

Automotive · Property

The car line pushed me past every comfort zone I had — resilience, patience, standing steady when nothing goes to plan. Property gave me good income and a few good years.

Then life handed me a different priority.

03

Coming Home

Caregiving · E-hailing · Bereavement services

My elderly family needed me. So I resigned, went part-time, and drove e-hailing to keep earning — while working as a sales agent in funeral services.

Sitting with grieving families showed me what caregivers actually carry. I took caregiving courses so I could do it properly.

During COVID, my father developed dementia. I lost my mother-in-law in 2024, and my father in 2025.

Those years changed how I measure a life. Not by income or title. By who you showed up for.

Through every industry and every change, one thing never left me: sales. But I see it differently now. It was never about pushing a product. It's about listening properly and earning trust.

I'm no longer chasing success. I'm seeking wisdom, purpose, and the courage to walk my own destiny.

03 — Her Next Adventure

What I'm Building Now

I'm not going to pretend I've arrived somewhere.

At this stage of my life I'm learning something completely new — creating content on TikTok, and using AI to do it. Not because it's trendy. Because the skills I spent thirty years building still matter online. Understanding people. Listening. Earning trust. Those don't expire. Only the room changed.

So I'm learning in public. The awkward first videos, the tools I can't figure out, what works and what flops.

I'm not ahead of you. I'm a few steps down the road, and I'll leave the door open behind me.
